Chelsea Women moved to the top of the Barclays Women’s Super League table after an early goal from Aggie Beever-Jones at Kingsmeadow.

Beever-Jones struck in the 7th minute, pouncing on a loose ball in the box and firing a right-footed effort high into the net. It was her seventh of the campaign, underlining her status as Chelsea’s most prolific forward this season. 

The Blues had lost just one of their previous forty-nine home league matches (forty-six wins, two draws) and extended their unbeaten WSL run to twenty-eight games, their last defeat coming against Liverpool in May 2024.

Under head coach, Dario Vidošić, Brighton is a promising side. Typically, they play a possession-based game, integrating attacking movements through fluidity and direct passing up the field.
