Meet the team!
Charlotte Davey - Founder of Her Game Her Way | @charlottedaveymedia
I am twenty and a university student of Modern Languages with English Literature, with a strong passion and love for women’s football. During my teenage years the sport captured my attention and became a safe space for me, which led me to dip my toes in sports media. I am a Spurs women’s season ticket holder, and attend as many matches as possible, regardless of the team! There’s no better way to spend my weekends than at the football!
For me, there is no more special a feeling than being part of the women’s football community. This is why I am dedicating my free time to creating content that empowers women in sport and builds a community, where those aspiring to work in media have a platform to create unique content and gain vital experience doing something they love. Thank you for becoming part of my journey.
Darcey Duffield - Journalist, Photographer and Graphic Designer | @darcey.d.photography
I have just left high school and am going on to study creative media in college. I attend the majority of Norwich City Women’s games every season. I do photography, content creation and graphics. I have always loved football and have dreamed of a career in the media industry. I joined Her Game Her Way as it is a brilliant platform to help promote the women’s game but to also help build my confidence and skills to help with my hopeful future career!
Aaliyah Spencer - Journalist | @afkspencer
Hi, I'm Liya and I'm a huge fan of women's football, particularly the Lionesses, Reggae Girlz, and Spurs Women. My favourite players are Lucy Bronze and Becky Spencer. I love watching academy players develop and can't wait to see the futures of young stars like Michelle Agyemang and Aggie Beever Jones unfold.
I want to be a part of HGHW because I aspire to have a career in the media of women's football. I want to advocate and celebrate the achievements of black players and neuro divergent players, as well as promoting equality in the game. I want to be part of the growth in women's football, so things like making goalkeeper kits available for fans and brands offering the women namesets matters a lot to me.
Poppy King - Journalist and Content Creator | @pops.woso
hey everyone, my name is poppy and I’m delighted to be a part of this exciting project! I’m a massive football fan and support the mighty Chelsea. My favourite player is Aggie Beever-jones and I can’t wait to see her promising future unfold. I’m joining HGHW to inspire others to get themselves involved in the women’s game and inform more people about the major tournaments, underrated players and the mass of talent we see develop throughout each game!
Hannah Chadwick - Welfare Lead, Co-Social Media Manager, Journalist | @hannahchadwickmedia
Hi, I’m Hannah I’m about to start university (from September) doing Sport and exercise Rehabilitation. I’m also a journalist with my favourite team being Spurs. As you can see I’m a very sports based person.
Joining HGHW allows me to work with a likeminded team which allows me to show my creativity and opinions off. It is about increasing my experience and knowledge within in the industry while showcasing my skills.
Lilly Chippendale - Journalist and Content Creator | @lillyxoss
Hi my name is Lilly and I am a 16 year old Manchester City fan and content creator.
A fun fact about me is that my favourite part of football culture is definitely its cross over with the fashion industry as it’s something I’m really passionate about and my goal for the future is to work in sports media!
Sophie Granger - Journalist and Content Creator | @sophiegrangerfootball
Hi, I’m Sophie and I have a big passion for women’s football. I also have a big interest in working in sports and the media and it’s something I want to do when I am older. I joined HGHW because it’s a great way to connect with others who have similar interests whilst also working hard doing content creation, making articles or photography at a match.
Aimee - Journalist | @england_mancity
I’m really passionate about women’s football and would love to contribute to Her Game Her Way by writing short match reports on teams across different leagues – including some of the bigger clubs. I’ve always been inspired by the growing visibility of the women’s game, and I’m excited to be part of a platform that champions that progress.
Joining HGHW feels like a great opportunity to use my voice, build my writing experience, and support the movement in any way I can.
Hi! I’m Vicky. I’m 21 and based in Kent, although closer to London. It must be said: I’m a proud Gooner, even through the rough and tough times. My favourite players in the WSL are: Lauren James, Emily Fox, Alex Greenwood, Grace Clinton and my Baby P (Victoria Pelova). When I was at university, I rediscovered my passion for journalism and football.
I would like to join Her Game Her Way because my love for womens football continues to grow. The game has created a space in media for young girls and women to express that passion and enthusiasm in a variety of ways; which I would love to participate in. That being said, the content creation space is similar to the game in that it has more progress to make in representing women and non-binary people of colour and I consider this an opportunity to help communicate and change that issue.
Phoebe Jones - Journalist and Content Creator | @phoebexjpg
My name is Phoebe and I’m 16. I have always had a passion for women’s football and the growth is very deserved. I can’t wait to join HGHW, and contribute my writing to this exciting team.

Charlotte Gregory - Photographer | @shotsbygregs
Hey, I’m Charlotte. I’m an aspiring sports photographer from Surrey. I enjoy capturing all things women’s football and am lucky enough to do so regularly. My work includes, views from the stands and close up shots from pitchside.
My name's Nerea, I'm twenty one years old, turning 22 this year. I'm based in Hertfordshire and have been studying in London for a number of years. My teams are Manchester United (by default, my family supports them) and Arsenal! (I prefer the women's teams, although the Arsenal men's team are fairly decent too). Internationally,I also support England, Spain and the Basque Country (a region in the north of Spain, my family are from there).
I'm very passionate about football, and have been following the game since 2021. Funnily enough, it was a show on TV that sparked my interest in the sport. I watched a few seasons of that show and the seed grew and I decided to give it a go. Euro 2022 was my first tournament I went to.
