An End-To-End First Half

Ipswich started the match brightly, linking up well and moving further up the pitch as a team. Their pressure caused Wolves problems early on, with Princess Ademiluyi creating opportunities and putting pressure on the visitors' defence.

However, it was Wolves who took the lead in the 17th minute through Amber Hughes.

Ipswich responded well and continued to create chances, with Ademiluyi eventually finding the equaliser in the 27th minute. The forward struck from outside the box to make it 1-1.

The game continued to open up, with opportunities at both ends. Ipswich goalkeeper Lysianne Proulx was called upon to make a save, while Ipswich continued to threaten going forward.

Maria Boswell then appeared to put Ipswich ahead, although there was some confusion over whether the ball had crossed the line. After a brief discussion between the officials, the goal was awarded, giving Ipswich a 2-1 lead.

Wolves continued to look for a response, with an effort from outside the box saved by Proulx and resulting in a corner. Ipswich dealt with the pressure well, before once again pushing further up the pitch.

A yellow card was shown to a Wolves player as the first half drew to a close.

Half Time: Ipswich 2-1 Wolves

Boswell Seals the Three Points

Ipswich continued to apply pressure after the restart, while Wolves looked to create more opportunities of their own.

Ademiluyi again caused problems for the Wolves defence and managed to get a shot away, but Wolves goalkeeper Emily Orman made the save.

Wolves made changes in an attempt to change the momentum, with Matthews, Flis and Francis introduced from the bench. Ipswich continued to win the ball back and build attacks as they looked to extend their advantage.

The hosts kept creating opportunities and eventually found their third goal in the 75th minute. Boswell struck from outside the box for her second goal of the afternoon, giving Ipswich a 3-1 lead and putting them in a strong position to see out the match.

Aimee Palmer then came close to adding another, but her effort from outside the box went just over the bar.

Wolves made another substitution in the 77th minute as they searched for a way back into the game, while Ipswich also made changes during the closing stages of the match.

A late free kick gave Wolves another opportunity, but the effort went over the bar.

Three minutes of added time were played, but Ipswich remained in control and held on to secure a 3-1 victory.

Full Time: Ipswich 3-1 Wolves

The result leaves Ipswich with another three points as they continue their unbeaten start to the WSL 2 season, while Wolves will look to bounce back in their next game against fellow promoted side Watford.
