With six of the 30 matchday played there is still a long way to go, but the opening weeks have already proved plenty of talking points. Barcelona have made a perfect start to the campaign as reigning champions and even though they lost some key squad members in the summer including captain Alexia Putellas, their La Masia built squad of youngsters and Patri Guijjaro at the helm still prove to be a magic formula for success. Atlético Madrid, Real Sociedad and Tenerife have also made strong starts, while Madrid CFF and Athletic Club have shown they can compete near the top of the table, building off of last season's mid table finishes. At the other end, Valencia are still searching for their first points of the season after six consecutive defeats, leaving them with plenty of work to do as they look to climb the table in their first season back in the division.
With 24 matchdays still to play, there is plenty of football left and Liga F table is certain to change. However, the opening six matchdays have already provided an exciting glimpse of what promises to be another fascinating season in Spanish women’s football, the old guard still proving to be the ones to beat but with some surprises taking center stage.
